Planning, Economic Development and Regeneration are looking to recruit a Business Support Manager.


The post holder will follow West Lothian Council policies and procedures in order to provide management, technical and admin support for the functions delivered by the Planning, Economic Development & Regeneration service grouping based in Civic Centre and Linlithgow Partnership Centre.


You will work with minimum supervision so you should be self-motivated and reliable and have the ability to prioritise tasks and forward plan.


It is essential that you have an HNC in administration or equivalent experience/qualification and a knowledge and demonstratable understanding of the remit of the services within Planning, Economic Development & Regeneration along with experience of working in an administrative role within a busy office environment and be able to demonstrate a commitment and willingness to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service. It is also essential that you have a knowledge of common IT systems including databases and Microsoft Office and have strong customer service, organisational and time management skills.


It is preferable that you have knowledge of PECOS, Uniform database, objective, IDOX EDRMS and Crystal reporting or similar.
