The community post covid service in Enfield has a maternity leave fixed term vacancy for a dynamic passionate post covid physiotherapist.
This role involves supporting patients with long covid to manage their symptoms and improve quality of life.
AsthemostseniormemberofthelocalPCSservice,yourrolewillinclude screening,filter referralsandmanagethecareofthosepatientswhohavebeeninvestigatedandreferred from the PCS Assessment Clinic at UCLH.
To provide the highest level of expertise on Post Covid presentations within Enfield CommunityServices,providingexpertadvicetootherservicesandprofessionalsincluding GPs and hospital medical staff.

We also provide community services and have a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people in Enfield so that they can get the best possible start in life. This includes health visitors and school nurses who are delivering the national Healthy Child Programme, which provides a structured framework for the delivery of key interventions to support the health and wellbeing of children and families from 0 to 5 and school aged children from 5-19. The 0-19 service aims to improve pathways and partnerships with services in the hospital and deliver excellent care for the children and families. 1.1 To hold full responsibility for own caseload within the PCS specialty, undertaking all aspectsofclinicaldutiesasanautonomouspractitioner,working withoutsupervision and taking full accountability for role and work.
1.2 To carry out a holistic assessment both in and outside the
scope of physiotherapy practice,includingtheinterpretingofappropriateinvestigationssuchasX-Rays,MRI scans, Blood Tests, clinic letters and reports or other diagnostics.
1.3Analyse the results of the investigations to assist diagnoses of aspects of PCS of a highlycomplexnature.Tousethisinformationtoaidclinicaljudgementinselecting from a range of treatment options the most effective way to manage the care of these patients.
1.4ToassessandtreatcomplexBreathingPatternDisordersandfeedthisinformation back to the MDT
1.5To work at the most advanced level within and outside the scope of physiotherapy practice,triaging,diagnosingandmanagingpatientswithdiversepresentationsand highly complex physical and psychological conditions.This includes patients with serious life threatening pathologies
1.6TogiveanexpertprofessionalopiniontoreferringGPsandotherhealthcare professions as required.
