The Salvation Army in Tower Hamlets is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Volunteer Development Co-ordinator to shape and champion volunteer experiences across our Poplar and Stepney Corps. You will… Promote and maintain a vibrant, welcoming, and effective volunteer service through regular, personalised coaching training and supervision.Maintain an effective process for the recruitment, training, and retention of the volunteer team, including appropriate recruitment materials, role descriptions, training pathways and other resources.Build and develop a team of volunteers and match volunteers with suitable volunteering opportunities, ensuring that all volunteers have completed the application process and are DBS checked.Support the Christian ethos and integrated mission of The Salvation Army particularly in respect of the programme activitiesRun or attend events such as volunteer events, workshops and presentations to promote volunteering at Poplar and Stepney Salvation ArmyYou have… Previous experience of having successfully resourced and managed a large volunteer programme to meet programme objectives (A, I)Strong demonstrable experience of successfully managing the performance of volunteers to ensure that objectives are delivered to the required quality standards and agreed time scales (A, I)Previous experience of having developed and managed systems and/or databases to efficiently manage volunteers (A, I)In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
