Summary
Neway International are seeking a Family Support Worker – Supervised Contact to join our client based with Knowsley Borough Council
Contract Type: Agency Worker Rate: £18.22 per hour PAYE / £22.70 per hour Umbrella IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Hours: 36 per week (Mon–Fri, 9:00–17:00)
Contract Duration: at least 6 months likely to be longer
Are you passionate about supporting children and families in challenging situations? Knowsley Borough Council is seeking a compassionate and reliable Family Support Worker to assist with supervised family time contact as part of their Children’s Services team.
What you'll be doing:
Facilitate and supervise safe, quality contact sessions between children and their families
Provide written observations and reports on contact sessions to support care planning
Ensure the emotional and physical safety of the child is prioritised at all times
Work closely with social workers and other professionals to support family interventions
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with all parties involved
What we’re looking for:
Experience supporting children and families in a social care or safeguarding environment
Empathy, patience, and professionalism in emotionally sensitive situations
Strong observational and written communication skills
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK
