Regular supervision and support from my Case Manager and HR team
Hi, I’m Patrick. I’m looking for a kind, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to join my care team in Gosport. I’m a friendly, talkative guy with a great sense of humour, and I’d like to find someone who shares my interests—especially if you’re into karate, enjoy a bit of shopping, or just like good conversation.
I live at home with my wife and our lovely Beagle. I’ve been part of my local karate club for over 45 years and still attend regularly. In 2016, I had a brain injury following a road traffic accident, and since then, I’ve needed a bit of extra support to live life to the fullest.
The Role
You’ll be working as part of a small, dedicated team providing 24-hour care. I need help with personal care, domestic tasks, and getting out and about in the community. I use a Zimmer frame indoors and a wheelchair outdoors, so you’ll need to be confident supporting mobility and using a wheelchair-adapted vehicle (WAV). Going out to have cups of tea and cake and getting away on holiday.
Requirements
Driver? Yes, essential
Drive my WAV? Yes
Use your own car for training? Yes
Experience?
Essential: Supporting adults with emotional/behavioural needs, confident in behaviour management and de-escalation
Desirable: Experience with brain injury or dementia
What We Value
We’re a Supportive team—you’ll never feel alone.
We act with Integrity—we do what’s right, even when no one’s watching.
We’re Client-Centred—your role is all about helping me live my best life.
We’re Quality-Focused—we take pride in doing things well.
And we’re Positive—we believe in making every day count.
Interviews & Start Date: Interviews will be held as applications are received—likely via video call. Start date is ASAP, pending pre-employment checks.
If you’re someone who’s patient, compassionate, and ready to make a real difference, I’d welcome your application. Come and be part of something meaningful—help me stay active, independent, and connected to the things I love to do.
Looking forward to meeting you,
Patrick
