Summary
As a Pre-registration trainee Pharmacy Technician you will work under supervision and rotate through areas to gain knowledge and evidence of competency. You will be measured by your knowledge, skills and behaviours in all areas in line with the qualification you are undertaking. The areas include dispensary, pharmacy procurement and distribution. There will also an opportunity for you to observe aseptic dispensing in our aseptic unit and clinical trials dispensing. You will also progress to work on wards giving a ward based service. This will include assessing the suitability of patient's own drugs, medicine reconciliation and supply and storage of drugs to the wards. You will also eventually go through an assessment where you will take the responsibility of checking the work of others. Please refer to the attached job description for further details
