Since 2020, we have built a strong reputation for delivering authentic Indian cuisine, offering both takeaway and delivery services, as well as bespoke catering for weddings, private parties, and corporate events. We pride ourselves on quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
The Role
We are looking to appoint an experienced Specialist Indian Chef to join our team. This is a vital role within our business, responsible for maintaining the high standards of food preparation and service that our customers expect.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, tandoori items, and kebabs.
• Operate and maintain traditional kitchen equipment, including the tandoori oven.
• Manage kitchen operations, ensuring food hygiene, portion control, and stock levels are maintained.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, including the second chef and kitchen porter.
• Assist in menu planning and the preparation of special catering orders for events.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation, even during busy periods.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a chef in an Indian restaurant, takeaway, or catering environment.
• Expertise in authentic Indian cooking techniques, including the use of spices and traditional methods.
• Familiarity with tandoori cooking and oven operation.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
• Commitment to high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen management.
Salary & Hours
• Salary: £39,000 per annum.
• Hours: 39 hours per week (including evenings and weekends as required).
• Permanent, full-time position.
