Charnock Hall Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our passionate and hardworking team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children by supporting their learning and development in a vibrant and caring school environment.
About the Role:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of the class teacher and senior staff to support pupils both individually and in groups. Your role will be key in fostering pupils' engagement with the curriculum, promoting independence, and raising standards of achievement across the school.
You will assist in delivering planned learning activities, adapting materials to meet pupil needs, and contributing to classroom management and behaviour strategies. A significant part of your role will also involve building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, and ensuring a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging in learning activities
• Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparation, and assessment
• Promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
• Contributing to the delivery of personalised learning, including for children with SEND
• Supporting the use of ICT and other resources to enhance learning
• Supervising pupils during out-of-classroom activities such as school trips
• Assisting with pupils’ personal care when required
