Support Workers – Children's EBD Residential Home
Location: Northampton
Salary: £13.00 to £13.50 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent & Tempory
About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and resilient support workers to join our team at a nurturing residential children’s home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
As a support worker, you’ll play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and caring environment where children can thrive, build trust, and achieve positive outcomes. You’ll be working as part of a close-knit team, delivering high standards of care and promoting independence and emotional well-being for each child in our care.
Requirements:
• Must hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
• Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle
• Experience working with children and young people with EBD is desirable but not essential — the right attitude, empathy, and resilience are key
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins (additional pay for sleep-ins where applicable)
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day care, support, and supervision to children within the home
• Support children to achieve their individual goals and care plans
• Encourage positive relationships, participation in activities, and educational engagement
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
• Work in accordance with Ofsted standards, safeguarding practices, and organisational policies
