Your new company
Our client, an established and high-profile organisation operating in the water industry, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Coventry. This multi-accredited and industry-leading company is dedicated to delivering sustainable water projects across the Midlands region, priding themselves on innovation, quality and excellence in project delivery. This is a full-time permanent position (37 hours per week, Monday - Friday) with the option for hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Negotiating contracts and providing commercial support throughout delivery
- Attending sites to carry out measurement and value work
- Advising project stakeholders of commercial-related issues
- Leading the dispute resolution process
- Providing advice on contractual claims
- Managing assessment and certification of monthly applications for payments
- Processing subcontract payments
- Managing plant suppliers.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
- Ability to identify, quantify and control commercial risks
- Good working knowledge of NEC form of contract
- Sound interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Full UK driving licence.
