We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with contract teams and support functions to deliver smart, effective commercial solutions. You'll be a key player in identifying and managing legal, financial, and commercial risks and opportunities—ensuring our contracts run smoothly and successfully.

This is more than a support role. You'll be a trusted advisor, a problem-solver, and a champion of best practice. From contract performance and variations to dispute resolution and defect management, your expertise will help drive value and efficiency across our operations.

What You'll Be Doing:
-Advising contract teams on contract terms, liabilities, KPIs, and scope to reduce risk and improve performance.

-Maintaining and supporting risk and opportunity registers with clear action plans.

-Managing contract variations and change orders in line with contract requirements and internal policies.

-Supporting the Operations Director and Contract Manager with accurate contract data and commercial insights.

-Preparing documentation for commercial reviews and escalation of key issues.

-Contributing to the development of internal systems and commercial processes.

-Ensuring governance and compliance for all commercial documentation.

What You'll Bring:Essential:

-Strong background in commercial contract management.

-Proven experience in risk and opportunity management.

-Skilled in resolving complex issues through negotiation and analysis.

-Familiarity with KPIs, payment mechanisms, and contract risk profiles.

Desirable:

-Experience with PFI contracts, ideally in the healthcare sector.

-Background in managing challenging client relationships.

-Knowledge of defect management and settlement agreements.

-Experience drafting and reviewing variation and sub-contract agreements.
