About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in managing Edge Hill’s energy consumption and work to reduce it. You will make a positive contribution in reducing carbon emissions and make a positive environmental impact.

You will be responsible for managing the university’s energy consumption, including supplied and extracted water. This is a vitally important role for the University that will review and identify energy saving opportunities, manage budgets associated with the utilities and, ensure the University is compliant with current legislation and policy on carbon emissions and energy usage.

You will devise strategies to reduce energy costs and environmental impact by monitoring utility usage and spend and work collaboratively with Estate Technical Managers to identify areas of opportunity for these savings through the built estate.

About You
As Energy Manager, you will have:

Preferably a degree and good understanding of the application of electrical, mechanical and BMS systems
Considerable knowledge on energy analysis and the utilities market
Thorough knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to energy and carbon management
Ability to prepare detailed technical reports regarding the use and conservation of energy and water
