Summary
Are you passionate about helping people and making a tangible difference in the fight against homelessness? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Accommodation Officer to optimise the use of the private rented sector, providing safe, sustainable homes for those in need.
About this role
What you’ll do:
• Source, inspect, and ensure temporary and private rented accommodation meets compliance standards and is safe, affordable, and suitable for clients.
• Work closely with Housing Solutions Officers to ensure fair and equitable prioritisation of clients for long-term housing.
• Reduce reliance on costly temporary accommodation by identifying long-term rental solutions.
• Provide tenancy sustainment services to tenants and landlords, focusing on early intervention and preventing tenancy breakdowns.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with The Housing Act 2004 and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
