Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Term time only, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Long-term contract (potential for a permanent contract)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support our secondary school students and inspire the next generation of learners.
About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils across various subjects and age groups. You will help create a positive and engaging learning environment, working with individual students, small groups, or full classes as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students who need additional help
Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt learning materials accordingly
Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and administrative tasks
Supervise students during break times, outings, and extracurricular activities
Foster a love of learning and encourage student participation
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in any subject (education-related is a plus but not essential)
A strong interest in working with children or young people
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to supporting learning
Previous experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable
A willingness to learn and develop within a school environment
