Summary
An opportunity has arisen for someone to join the MQAS team on a 12 month contract.
You will support the MQAS and senior management team, ensuring administrative support in the implementation of both local and national maternity quality improvement and risk requirements.
The post holder will provide support to the MQAS, Quality Improvement and senior maternity management team to ensure administrative support is provided to support the implementation of both local and national maternity quality improvement and risk requirements.

Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites.
· Provide comprehensive administrative support to the MQAS, Guidelines lead, Quality Improvement team and maternity management team.
· Prioritise and manage workload without direct supervision, provide a high quality secretarial and administrative service.
· Provide administrative support to the MQAS, joint MQAS, Labour ward coordinators & Maternity Guideline Group meetings ensuring that agendas and papers are sent in advance of meetings and to produce minutes, which are of a high quality and distributed within an agreed timeframe. To assist with additional meetings and debriefs as needed.
· To coordinate the maternity forum agenda, set up the meetings, send out reminders, papers etc. and take the minutes.
· Work with the MQAS team to assist in the maintenance of the Maternity Risk Register.
· To produce monthly Datix reports and adhoc reports as needed for MQAS and management teams.
· Upload relevant documents to Datix following conclusion of serious incident investigations.
· Provide administrative support in the investigation of adverse local incidents & patient safety incidents (PSI’s)under the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). This will include locating and scanning patient notes, downloading patient records from Cerner, K2 and Badgernet, organising electronic folders, producing & sending patient correspondence letters and ensuring that all relevant papers are available within the agreed deadlines. There will also be a requirement to liaise with the patient/relative/carer involved e.g. to arrange meetings, take messages, post investigation reports etc.
