About the role of Quantity Surveyor
Our client, nationally recognised as one of the UK's leading specialists in large scale new residential property build projects are seeking an expertly skilled Quantity Surveyor. Embracing an ever-growing diverse work culture whilst leading the way in a competitive market you will be required to play a pivotal role in managing the cost relations whilst maintaining the high-quality build standards that they are renowned for. This specific development requires outstanding knowledge of residential, education and commercial construction as over 2800 units are approaching their 2nd stage at their East London location. Your expertise will help reduce costs and boost value all whilst taking full responsibility for the project's financial performance.
The Ideal candidate should possess experience in 2 & 3 stage projects and prior history of tier 1 contracted employment. To thrive in the role, it's crucial to hold superb analytical skills and be comfortable with conflict management.
Key tasks you will have to undertake will include
- Prepare and review procurement strategies
- Monitor and manage the financial reports
- Identify cost saving opportunities and enhance the profitability of the scheme
- Possess a strong technical knowledge and be able to provide support to less experienced commercial staff on the project
- Liaise with the client and stakeholders ensuring compliance with project requirements
The role includes a long-term Freelance contract proposed, and an extremely competitive daily rate offered depending on experience.
