We are looking to appoint a 0.8WTE Band 7 Highly Specialist Paediatric Dietitian to support the established Children’s gastroenterology and surgical service at Nottingham Children's Hospital at NUH, QMC campus. You should be an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and team- working skills.
You will be required to have experience within paediatrics. Your caseload will include babies and children with a range of gastroenterological conditions including IBD , coeliac , eosinophilic esophagitis and post op surgical children. This will include supplementation , enteral tube feeding and parenteral nutrition. You will be supported by the Clinical Specialist dietitians within the gastroenterology and surgical dietetic team who help lead the team.
You will be a core and valued member of the multi-disciplinary team, comprised of consultants, other allied health professionals, specialist nurses and social workers, delivering high quality evidence-based care.
You will be responsible for the supervision, training, and support of students and more junior members of the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a busy complex caseload. You will be required to work across both inpatient and outpatient settings, to provide specialist care to infants and children in collaboration with their families/carer and the wider MDT.
As a visible leader, you will be a role model for the Dietetic team ensuring high standards of quality care for patients and their families.
This post is ideal for a dietitian wishing to develop their clinical, leadership and service development skills. You will take part in education events, student and staff training and lead dietetic service developments, in collaboration with other members of the MDT.
