Summary
Job Summary:
The Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for setting out formwork and civil engineering structures with accuracy, using surveying instruments and techniques. This role supports the smooth delivery of construction phases by ensuring all works are correctly positioned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering and architectural drawings related to formwork and civil engineering.
- Use total stations, theodolites, and GPS equipment to set out site works accurately.
- Mark out foundations, columns, walls, slabs, and other structural elements for formwork installation.
- Conduct site surveys and verify dimensions and levels to comply with design requirements.
- Collaborate with site management and formwork teams to resolve any setting out issues.
- Prepare daily reports and record setting out data accurately.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree, HND, or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related discipline.
- Experience in setting out within formwork and civil engineering projects preferred.
- Skilled in the use of surveying instruments and software.
- Good understanding of construction drawings and formwork systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
