Summary
Van mobile Waste operative – London/Kent £28/30k
My client are seeking a waste operative to join their team . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing/collecting and disposing of construction waste/materials from Central London sites and disposing of it back at the depot in Sittingbourne.
Main Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and manage construction waste materials from various sites in central London, taking it back to the waste disposal unit in Sittingbourne daily.
- Operate waste removal equipment including skips, bins, and compactors
- Identify recyclable materials and ensure proper segregation of waste
- Load and unload waste materials into appropriate containers
- Maintain cleanliness of construction sites by removing debris and waste
- Complete required documentation for waste disposal and recycling records
- Follow all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Report any hazardous materials or unsafe conditions to site supervisors
- Assist in waste management planning and implementation
- Perform basic maintenance checks on waste management equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- Full UK driving license (preferred)
- Knowledge of waste management and recycling procedures
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in construction
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
SALARY :
£28/30k basic
Company Van & Company Fuel Card
3 month probation then perm contract if successful
Full clean drivers licence
20 days holiday + bank holidays
Paid birthday off every year pension
