Blue Recruitment Personnel is proud to represent a leading waste management company in London, seeking experienced and dedicated HGV Drivers to join their growing team.

About the Role:

As an HGV Driver, you will play a vital role in the safe and efficient collection and transportation of various waste streams across London.

You will be responsible for:

Confidential Waste: Performing secure on-site and off-site shredding services, ensuring client data is handled with the utmost confidentiality and in compliance with all regulations.
Dustcart Collections: Operating dustcarts for the collection of general waste and mixed recycling from commercial and residential clients, maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Food Collections: Managing food waste collections, including bin tipping and bin exchange, ensuring timely and hygienic service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive and operate HGV vehicles (Class 2 or above) safely and efficiently across London.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
Load and unload waste containers, bins and bags as required.
Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately.
Deliver excellent customer service, acting as a professional ambassador for the company.
Adhere to all health & safety, environmental and data protection regulations.
Work independently and as part of a team to meet collection schedules.

About You:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) license, CPC and Digi Tacho card.
Proven experience in waste management, especially with confidential waste, dustcart and food waste collections.
Strong understanding of health & safety and data protection requirements.
Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to changing routes and schedules.
A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to high standards.
