Do you want to further your career in paediatrics? We have a band 6 vacancy in our large, well-established, supportive team of friendly and highly experienced physiotherapists.
You will be working for the Evelina Community Physiotherapy Service, across Southwark and Lambeth , seeing children between the ages of 0-19 from diverse backgrounds.
The service offers therapy to children with a wide range of conditions, in a range of settings, such as our child development centres, children's homes, schools (special and mainstream), nurseries and community/leisure centres. In addition, we offer therapy groups, orthotics clinics and joint paediatrician and neonatal follow up clinics
You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and experienced paediatricians.
The role will include at lease one, 6 month rotation into one of the Evelina acute teams, with whom we have close links.
We have a well-developed staff appraisal process and clinical supervision to support staff development. You will participate in regular professional governance sessions and be actively involved in service development projects. There will be lots of opportunities to develop your clinical skills and areas of clinical interests, supported by band 7 and 8 physiotherapists, who lead on a range of clinical lead areas.
You will work autonomously, supported by band 7 and 8 physiotherapists, to deliver physiotherapy intervention to babies, children and young people age 0-19.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in a range of community settings, including clinics, children's homes, schools, nurseries and community centres.
You will be actively encouraged to be involved in service development projects and other quality improvement initiatives to improve servicer user and staff experiences.

The Paediatric Community physiotherapy service is part of the Evelina London Children’s Directorate within GSTT and sits within the Evelina London Children’s community services .
• To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to a caseload of children aged 0-19 years of age, within the community setting. This caseload consists of children with a wide range of developmental difficulties and/or disabilities, and/or complex or multiple pathologies. Children will be seen in a variety of clinical settings including schools, children’s own home and clinics.
• To provide an advanced standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, management and advice to paediatric patients aged 0-19, their families and carers within the community setting. The caseload consists of children with a wide range of development difficulties and/or disabilities, many of whom may have very complex or multiple pathologies.
• To work as an autonomous practitioner, unsupervised, and at times in conjunction with less senior team colleagues across a variety of locations within the community including patients’ homes, schools and clinics to meet the needs of the individual child.
• To develop specialist knowledge and experience in paediatric skills so as to become a specialist practitioner.
