A public sector organisation that helps deliverfunding schemes based in Manchester is seeking anexperienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team.Starting out as an 6 weeks temporary assignment
Your new role
As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a key role insupporting the end-to-end payments process. Reporting to the Accounts PayableSupervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Processingpurchase orders and supplier invoices
- Handlingstaff cash expenses and company credit card transactions
- Managingloan and grant payments
- Monitoringthe central accounts mailbox and resolving supplier queries
- Uploadingpayments via NatWest and Autopay systems
- Supportingad hoc finance tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
You will have:
- Aminimum of 1 year's experience in a finance or accounting role
- Familiaritywith bank cash management systems
- Proficiencyin Microsoft 365 and accounting software such as NetSuite
- Strongattention to detail and time management skills
- Theability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellentinterpersonal and organisational skills
- Acommitment to confidentiality and equal opportunities in the workplace
