The Governing Body would like to appoint two teaching assistants to support learning and teaching in the Foundation Phase.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with a highly dedicated and skilled team of staff in a happy, vibrant and culturally diverse school.
Applications are invited from candidates who enjoy working with children and have the energy and enthusiasm to support pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidates will be able to:
Establish excellent relationships with pupils and parents;
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils;
Work productively and collaboratively with all staff;
Apply good literacy and numeracy skills;
Demonstrate an interest in child development;
Contribute to the positive ethos and aims of our culturally diverse school.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.

Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
