Most aspects of your training will be delivered on-site with the employer, and you will have regular site visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship program. Some training will be carried out in our head office in Bristol.
Desired skills
The successful candidate will have good practical skills and natural attention to detail.
Have good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Be safety conscious (as glass can be fragile and hazardous / construction sites need particular attention with respect to health and safety)

Be able to measure and make calculations
Personal qualities
You will need enthusiasm, a positive attitude and be hard working
You should have a degree of confidence and be well presented

In addition, you will want to achieve and maintain high standards and be focused on the tasks ahead by forward thinking
You’ll be self-motivated, dedicated, and enthusiastic with a good attitude towards hard work
You’ll have good communication skills, and be confident in talking to a range of people including customers and other tradespeople
You will have the ability to solve problems whilst being keen and willing to learn
Prospects
On completion of the Level 2 Fenestration qualification, providing you show the correct skills and abilities, you will have the opportunity to progress onto a level 3 apprenticeship and a full-time position. We are looking to invest our knowledge, skills and time in the right person. This position has the potential to develop into a successful career for the right candidate with the position growing with the company.
Things to consider
Please be aware work is mainly outside (on construction sites), as such you may be out in the cold for long periods of time. The work can also be physically quite demanding so please consider this before applying.
