We are looking to hire an Office Administrator and Receptionist to join our team.

This is an incredible opportunity for the right person to enter or to continue working in this very special industry. Spitfires.com was the first business in the world to offer approved passenger flights in Spitfires and Spitfire training to licensed pilots. We now operate from nine further bases beyond our home and headquarters at Goodwood Aerodrome near Chichester in West Sussex. It is at this location that we are looking for further support but occasional travel to other locations might be required from time to time.

Due to our continuing expansion, we are looking for a qualified and experienced applicant to provide the following:

• Front of house duties to include customer meeting and greeting and refreshments.
• Managing phone calls and message taking, bookings, re-bookings, general enquiries, organising travel arrangements and postal orders/deliveries.
• Answering emails and directing enquiries to the appropriate personnel.
• Assisting the accounting team with invoicing and payments.
• Maintaining office, kitchen and restroom supplies.
• Ensuring the facility, especially the guest areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Managing the online and physical shop including fulfilling shop orders, stocktaking and ordering and maintaining stock levels.
• Arranging shipping of aircraft parts, engineering equipment and miscellaneous items.

The successful applicant will be provided with training in the following:

• Company booking system, payment systems, Safety Management System and will be inducted into first aid/safety training courses if required.

Ideally, applicants should have knowledge of and experience with:

• Xero.
• Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written English.
• A keen attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask.

In addition to the above, applicants must be well-presented, hold a valid UK driver’s licence. Travel within the UK may be required, subject to the needs of the business.
Working hours: 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required from time to time and during events.
Working days: Monday to Friday, or Wednesday to Sunday depending on operational requirements, including Bank Holidays.
Overtime: Available, as required.
Holiday: 28 days plus Bank Holidays (lieu time).
Salary: A competitive rate of pay will be offered, depending on experience.
Bonus Scheme: A company performance-related bonus scheme will be offered in addition to the basic salary.
