Role Purpose
Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary setting, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) - including SEMH, cognition & learning, communication & interaction, and physical or sensory needs
Key Responsibilities
- Work one-to-one or in small groups to support learning and emotional wellbeing
- Collaborate with the SENCO, pastoral staff and external professionals to tailor support strategies
- Attend team meetings to monitor pupil progress and modify provision as required
Person Specification
- Proven experience working with young people, ideally with SEND/SEMH needs
- Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support, emotional literacy, or similar
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a caring, patient and adaptable approach
