It is advisable to refer to this when submitting your application for the post.Job PurposeTo provide support with everyday activities to promote wellbeingLocationNorwich NR5Job DetailsI am a middle aged man with Muscular Dystrophy who requires daily support to remain independent in my home. I will need assistance with personal care, showering and changing clothes as well as some domestic support to keep my home clean and tidy and prepare basic meals. My PA will also support me to engage in social activities, going out shopping or perhaps for a coffee. I have one PA but as I need support over 7 days I am seeking a second person to work on a flexible basis, covering Saturdays and holiday/sickness.Required Characteristics· Flexible and reliable· Shared interests· Basic cooking skills· Driver with own car and appropriate class of business insuranceAccessibility:Please do not hesitate to inform me if invited to interview if you have access needs (particularly for the interview). Please note that my care plan is currently under review and I am hoping to be able to increase hours in the near future.· 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays· Free training as appropriate for roleThe post is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
