The Assistant Accountant will play a pivotal role in providing essential support across various financial functions. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain accurate financial records and apply key accounting principles.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of financial audits.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making and budget planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or holding a recognised accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar financial role.
- Strong understanding of standard accounting practices.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software.
Desirable Skills:
- Professional certification such as CIMA or equivalent experience.
- Experience in R&D, project-based, or technical environments.
