We’re recruiting for a fast-growing, quality-led food business in Nottingham. As the Technical & Health and Safety Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of this ambitious company, ensuring the highest levels of food safety, site compliance, and health & safety culture are embedded across all operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead compliance strategy while staying close to the action — balancing documentation and regulatory readiness with hands-on factory engagement.

• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification
• Experience managing regulatory audits and technical documentation
• Excellent communication, training, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• A hands-on, proactive attitude and attention to detail

Within this position, you’ll also be:

• Leading and maintaining site-wide compliance with food legislation
• Managing and improving the QMS, HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, and allergen control systems
• Developing a high-standard food safety culture through training, mentoring and leadership
• Ensuring continuous audit readiness and acting as the main contact for FSA, EHO, Defra, and APHA
• Driving process improvements and root cause analysis across food safety and H&S
• Managing health and safety systems, risk assessments, and documentation
• Supporting supplier approval, raw material specifications, and quality control processes
• Collaborating cross-functionally with QA, Production, Engineering, and external partners
• Playing a strategic role in system development while maintaining a regular floor presence

Hours and Salary

• Upto £50,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday – some occasional availability for audits/projects
• Private Axa health care coverage
• 28 days holiday
• 1 volunteer day per year
• Birthday off every year
