Smile Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a warm and supportive primary school in Burton upon Trent, who are seeking an engaging, nurturing and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team in September. This full-time position is for a Year 2 class and is perfect for an ECT looking to start their teaching career in a setting that truly supports and values its staff.
About the Role:
Full-time class teacher for a Year 2 class of approximately 26 students
Planning and delivering effective and engaging lesson plans to the whole class
Marking and providing clear and constructive feedback to learners and their families
Full teaching responsibilities with support from a welcoming year group partner teacher
Opportunity to work within a well-established KS1 team
A school committed to guiding ECTs through a successful induction year
Building positive and professional relationships with students, colleagues and families
Ideal Candidates:
Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2025
ECTs warmly encouraged to apply – strong support and mentoring available
Passionate about creating a positive learning experience for every child
Committed, engaging and nurturing in their teaching approach
Hold experience in teaching within a KS1 classroom (placement experience is valid)
