Summary
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Clinical Duties To act at all times in a manner that does not bring the Trust or the profession of nursing intodisrepute. To support qualified nurses by undertaking directed tasks or the monitoring and reportingback activity. To bring to the attention of a qualified nurse any action or activity that is likely to place theclient or ward visitors at risk. To maintain safe boundaries with clients and visitors. To maintain appropriate liaison with associated professionals, ensuring that all observationsof relevance are relayed in a concise and timely manner. To assist or act on behalf of those clients who cannot maintain their own personal health /hygiene and well being. Has a basic understanding or willingness to learn about Naso Gastric (NG) feeding / PEGfeeding. Has the ability to support the qualified member of staff with setting up NG feeds / PEG feedsand monitoring them. To assist clients in the maintenance of activities of daily living, as requested by the nurse orclient. To act as the clients advocate if they lack the capacity or ability to do so for themselves. To listen, be supportive and empathetic to all clients.
