• Build strong, positive relationships that help students feel understood and valued
• Support emotional regulation and communication, using patience and empathy at all times

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with young people, ideally in an SEN, pastoral, or educational setting
• Understands that behaviour is often a form of communication
• Is calm under pressure, a good listener, and able to build trust with students
• Has a flexible and proactive approach to working with individuals and small groups
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people (training provided)

Why Join The Hayling College?

• A warm, inclusive school community where staff are truly valued
• Ongoing training and professional development, including SEN-specific CPD
• A supportive and skilled SEND and pastoral team
• Access to staff well-being initiatives, flexible working, a generous pension scheme, and a staff benefits platform

Whether you're looking to start a career in education or bring your experience to a new setting, this is a meaningful opportunity to support the students who need you most.
