Brief description:
Teach and support secondary students with PMLD using a primary-style approach in a nurturing SEN setting.

About the role:
This role involves teaching secondary-aged pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), using a creative and differentiated primary-style approach. The successful candidate will support learning through sensory strategies, personalised planning, and a holistic developmental curriculum.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons for learners with complex needs
- Use multi-sensory and communication-based strategies to support progress
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and the wider staff team
- Provide a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Take on opportunities for career development and leadership responsibilities

Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
- Experience with PMLD, SLD, or complex SEND learners
- A nurturing, adaptive approach with strong communication skills
- Ability to plan creatively and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Ambition for progression within a special school setting
