Job Description:The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Computing/IT Teacher to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality computing lessons to students at Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 (KS3-KS5). You will inspire and motivate students to develop essential digital skills and a strong understanding of computing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Computing/IT lessons.
- Teach a range of topics including programming, cybersecurity, data representation, and digital literacy.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and problem-solving.
- Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive space.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum enhancements.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Computing/IT at secondary school level, ideally up to KS5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology and innovation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
