You’ll lead a high-performing team, engage with senior stakeholders, and drive the implementation of our ESG strategy across the project lifecycle. This is a role for someone who thrives on complexity, influence, and purpose.An overview of what you would be responsible for as an ESG Manager: Leading the implementation of Sizewell C’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy across carbon, water, circular economy, biodiversity, and natureDriving compliance with PAS 2080:2023 and achieving BREEAM Infrastructure certification with a target rating of ‘Very Good’Embedding ESG assurance across the project, ensuring sustainability is integrated into design, procurement, and delivery processesManaging ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting for internal governance, regulatory bodies, and investor communicationsActing as the key liaison with the Environment Agency and other stakeholders to support regulatory engagement and sustainability commitmentsProviding strategic oversight and assurance across the supply chain to ensure ESG requirements are met and exceededLeading and developing a team of ESG professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative cultureCould you be who we’re searching for?At least 10 years’ experience in environmental sustainability within construction, ideally within major infrastructure (e.g. HS2, Tideway, Lower Thames Crossing)A minimum of 2 years in a senior ESG or environmental sustainability role, with direct line management experienceProven ability to lead and embed ESG strategies across complex, multi stakeholder environmentsDeep understanding of BREEAM Infrastructure (formerly CEEQUAL), PAS 2080:2023, and circular economy principlesExperience working within a certified environmental system (ISO14001)Experience engaging with regulators (especially the Environment Agency), and presenting to board level and senior leadership audiencesStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence from site operatives to executive directorsConfidence in overseeing ESG assurance, reporting, and compliance across a large supply chainAn understanding of ESG reporting frameworks such as the Taskforce for Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Taskforce for Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) (desirable but not essential)Degree in environmental science, sustainability, geography, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential)Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA, CIWEM) and chartership (desirable but not essential)Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential; experience with OneClick or sustainability reporting tools is a plus Sound like you?
