Summary

Are you passionate about helping students make sense of the world and their place in it? A School in Essex is seeking a committed and thoughtful Teacher of RS & PSHE to join their team from September 2025.

This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to teach Religious Studies and Personal, Social, Health & Economic Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, equipping students with both academic knowledge and the life skills needed to thrive.

The RS & PSHE curriculum plays a key role in supporting emotional wellbeing, respect, and community understanding. Key Responsibilities

• Teach RS and PSHE across KS3 and KS4
• Promote respectful debate, open-mindedness, and critical thinking
• Help students develop personal resilience, ethical awareness, and decision-making skills
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Use assessment to support learning and adapt teaching
• Contribute to wider school initiatives that support personal development
• Support extra-curricular events, assemblies, or enrichment activities

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching RS and/or PSHE at secondary level
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A genuine interest in young people's wellbeing and personal growth
• Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of the wider PSHE agenda
• ECTs welcome - full induction and support provided
