Summary

Are you a dedicated MFL teacher ready to inspire the next generation of language learners? A secondary school School in Redbridge is looking for a Spanish & French Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025.

This permanent position offers the opportunity to teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some KS3 French. For the right candidate, there's also the possibility of a TLR for KS3 Coordination, giving you the chance to take on additional responsibility and develop your leadership skills.

You'll join a supportive and experienced MFL department with a strong track record of student engagement and achievement. The school provides a structured, collaborative environment with excellent CPD opportunities and a genuine focus on staff wellbeing.

Whether you're an experienced teacher or a confident ECT, this is a fantastic chance to help students broaden their horizons, build communication skills, and develop cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Spanish to KS3 and KS4, with some KS3 French
• Plan and teach engaging, culturally rich lessons
• Use assessment to monitor progress and adapt instruction accordingly
• Encourage students to explore global citizenship through languages
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
• Take part in extra-curricular language activities or trips
• Support KS3 language progression if awarded the TLR

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Specialism in Spanish (French to KS3 level desirable)
• Experience teaching MFL at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and engaging delivery style
• Excellent classroom management and planning skills
• A passion for languages and a commitment to inclusive education
• ECTs welcome - structured support and mentoring available
