East Renfrewshire Council’s Roads & Transportation Service are looking to recruit a committed individuals for two posts of Technical Officer.

The successful applicants will have experience in a number of areas, which may include the preparation and issue of competitive tender of civil engineering works; road safety; assessment of planning applications; design and installation of pedestrian crossings and traffic signal controlled junctions; design and delivery of sustainable and active travel schemes and the assessment and issue of Road Construction Consents.

The post will work closely with various stakeholders within the Service and across the Environment Department together with external stakeholders.

Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
