Summary

Job Responsibilities: Administration To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures. To work in accordance of written protocols Carry out general reception duties Take accurate messages and deal with them promptly and appropriately Make appointments for patients using the Emis clinical system Cancel or rebook appointments Greet patients on arrival and book them in Register patients on the clinical system; fully registered, temporary residents or immediately necessary Liaise with outside agencies and other healthcare professionals whilst maintaining confidentiality Receive, file and retrieve patient records Scanning documents into patient records (Emis clinical system) Notes Sumarising Respond and send emails regarding patient care Preparation of Repeat Prescriptions Be responsible for ensuring that repeat prescriptions are processed and issued on a timely basis Deal with enquiries and refer to appropriate person File prescriptions Assist in the process for request of Patient medical records following policies relating to GDPR Provide admin support as required Record information accurately; training to input data into computer system supplied Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail Date stamp incoming mail/ scan into designated software Receive deliveries of stock and stationery and take appropriate action Ensure tidiness of reception and waiting room Maintain notice board Tidy clinical rooms after surgeries Ensure prompt ordering of supplies Receiving patients consulting with members of Practice team Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address. Be able to cover all reception position as necessary Process appointment requests for today future appointments from patients by telephone and in person. Deal with visits requests Process patients change of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of Practice area. Process a request for repeat prescription request in accordance with Practice guidelines. Follow practice templates and protocols Have attention to detail Act upon clinician request regarding patient healthcare Have working knowledge of telephone system, during and after hours. Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm. Make coffee for doctors Any other tasks allocated by managers
