As a Specialist Support Professional for the Visually Impaired, you'll provide vital, high-quality support to individuals, empowering them to live independently and achieve their goals. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing tailored support to visually impaired individuals, recognizing their unique needs and preferences.
Assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement.
Supporting individuals in navigating their environment safely and confidently.
Aiding in the use of assistive technologies and adaptive equipment.
Facilitating access to education, employment, and social opportunities.
Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care/support plans.

What We're Looking For:
A nurturing attitude and genuine enthusiasm for supporting visually impaired individuals.
Experience within a support setting, particularly with visually impaired individuals (preferred, but comprehensive training is provided).
Strong communication skills and empathy.
Friendly, professional, respectful, and reliable.
Willingness to travel.
Driving licence (desirable).
