Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our in house Day Service provision as a Deputy Manager. The role would involve supporting the manager to manage multiple teams within services across the city of Hull. Providing to adults with a learning disability or cognitive impairments such as dementia.
We need a deputy manager who is professional, energetic and most importantly caring and passionate about the role. Someone who can manage a staff team and support the manager, by working creatively, independently and using their own initiative.
As a frontline hands on Deputy Manager you will need to support the Manager in the day to day running of responsive and high quality services. As an insight, some of the duties will include:

Rota manage a team effectively
Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults
Supervise staff
Conduct performance and probation reviews
Manage and audit medication systems and procedures
Lead on person centred reviews
Carry out best interest meetings
Ensure the service remains compliant with legislation, guidance, policies and procedures
Mentor and support staff
Carry out accident and incident investigations
Lead by example
Decision making
Deputise for the manager in their absence.

It is essential that you have substantial managerial experience of working in a care or support setting, a real passion and enthusiasm for quality service delivery and the ability to lead and motivate others.
A positive mindset, creative thinking and excellent communication skills will be essential for success within this role.
Current hours of work are Monday to Friday during the day however you must be prepared to be flexible.
