What will you be doing?
The Commercial Manager will support the IFM business unit, working closely with the wider operational team and various other support functions. Reporting to the Head of Commercial the role will be required to: .
- Ensure the commercial interests of FM business is protected
- Supporting operational teams on commercial matters across the portfolio of contracts
- Supporting bid team on FM tenders and contract renewals
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure during contract drafting
- Demonstrating awareness of and assisting the site team to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and contractual obligations
- Experience of developing / reviewing effective cost control mechanisms
- Supporting and implementing Change Management processes in line with contracts
- Sub Contract Management - Enquiry, subcontract drafting, measure, valuation agreement & payment
- To provide timely and good quality management reports to Senior Management
- Ensuring the transparency of the financial position through accurate cost/revenue control
- Commercial Support to other business departments
- Conduct day to day commercial issues
- Compliance with all Veolia policies and procedures
- Promoting good working relationships by acting in a respectful and professional manner at all times
What are we looking for?
Essential:
- Experience as a quantity surveyor or commercial management in the FM, utility and/or construction industry or similar
- Working knowledge of SFG20, labour loading, development of PPMs and optimised delivery planning
- HNC/HND/Degree in commercial management or quantity surveying
- Experience dealing with disputes in a reputable manner
- Thorough knowledge of forms of contract
- Ability to review / draft / edit contracts
- Experience working for a main contractor, preferable.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in high security sites
- In-depth Knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts
