Croydon CAMHS are excited to advertise 2 Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist roles within the Croydon CAMHS Crisis Team. We would also consider a band 6 developmental post for someone who is passionate about crisis care but requires additional support/experience before progressing to a band 7(This may suit a clinician who is currently a band 6 on a tier 4 CAMHS ward and would like to develop their career in the community, it may also suit a band 6 liaison worker who would like to specialist in CAMHS but does not have experience working with young people).

We would require a minimum of 1 years experience as a band 6 to consider a developmental role. We have a full term substantive post (1 WTE) as well as a part time option (22.5 hours).

Both posts open to registered Nurses/Social Workers/ Occupational Therapist or equivalent .

Successful applicant will form a close working relationship with peers, Clinical Service Lead and other professionals to provide safe care to young people presenting in A&E..

The post holder will provide, or advise on the delivery of high quality and safe care, ensuring consistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence which comply with the Trust and their registering body. The post holder will be a positive role model to other members of the team through the practice of evidence-based care and be expected to support professional development through clinical appraisal and supervision.



The successful applicant/s will

-Complete bio-psycho-social assessments of young people who present to Croydon University Hospital in a mental health crisis

-Complete tailored safety plans to meet each individials needs

-Complete 7 day follow up appointments for young people who present to A+E in mental health crisis.

-Lead and participate in discharge planning meetings.

As a CAMHS Clinical Specialist you will;

support the Clinical Service Lead and peers to promote and develop

excellent clinical practice. You will be a positive role model to peers in the

team through the practice of evidence-based care.

You will be expected to support professional development through clinical appraisal

and supervision and contribute to the ongoing educational programme for all staff,

fostering a positive learning environment.

Your professional and personal development will include further training and

study and you will be encouraged and supported by your line manager
