Crynodeb

We are seeking applications for a new team of Academic Support Officers to join the University across all three faculties, with positions available at all of our campus locations in Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd.

These roles will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of subject areas by providing administrative and operational support to Course Teams and Heads of Subject. ASOs will manage key administrative processes and provide support to academic teams, enabling them to continue to deliver high-quality teaching and enriching the student experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a faculty-based administrative team, playing a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of courses and supporting the wider academic environment. ASOs will need excellent administrative and organisational skills, alongside strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach. A strong understanding of University processes will be key to delivering high-quality support for subject areas. Post-holders will work flexibly and collaboratively while also taking initiative, ensuring that academic teams have the administrative foundation needed for effective course delivery.

Successful candidates will be based at one of our sites but may be required to work flexibly to provide support across any one of our campuses. Duties and working patterns may vary according to service needs. Successful candidates will be required to spend a majority of time on campus during term time, with the option of hybrid working, in line with service needs.
