Summary
The role of Sub-Speciality Training Programme Lead is to work with and support the Academy Development Lead, the Postgraduate Dean and the Regional Team in leading the delivery of the Virtual Imaging Academy structure and operating model. The successful candidate will be passionate about the delivery and management of imaging education and training in the East of England and a leading expert in the field. The post holder will promote and strengthen the practice of lifelong learning along the professional development continuum from qualification to retirement. The successful candidate will show an understanding ofimportant contribution made by all members ofthe multi-professional health careteam, including support staff as well as clinicians. They will be committed to the development of the current and future imaging workforce and demonstrate strategic thinking and innovative problem solving when approaching the complex challenge of delivering multi-professional education. This will need to be done in partnership with colleagues from the NHSE East of England Diagnostics team, particularly their Clinical and Transformational Imaging Leads. The successful candidate will support and provide guidance to a number of different groups to ensure high quality delivery of imaging training, both medical and clinical. A Sub-Speciality Training Lead / speciality Training Programme Director (TPD) is a member of the Speciality Training Committee (STC) who is managerially responsible to the Postgraduate Dean for the delivery of training in that speciality according to the standards set by the GMC and the Royal College of Radiologists.
