Summary

Job Title: CNC Miller – Heidenhain Controls
Location: Wincanton, Somerset
Salary: £16.00+ per hour DOE
Working Hours: 39 hours per week

• Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm

  
  

• Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm

  
  

  Duration: Temp to Perm or Permanent (depending on candidate)

  Start Date: Immediate

  We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join a precision engineering company in Wincanton, specialising in aerospace and high-accuracy components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls to secure a long-term role in a modern and progressive manufacturing environment.

  The Job:

  • Set, operate, and program CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls
  • Manufacture precision aerospace components to tight tolerances
  • Read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Conduct in-process inspection and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain production efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met
  • Work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  The Requirements:

  • Experience as a CNC Miller in aerospace or precision engineering
  • Proficient with Heidenhain CNC controls
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and tolerancing
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and a strong team player
