Neighbourhood Officer needed in Barnsley Paying £15.84 per hr ref 000A 1BC6/1

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a proactive and responsive neighbourhood management service across your designated patch.
Address and escalate breaches of tenancy, including anti-social behaviour, using appropriate support and enforcement tools.
Manage void properties to ensure timely re-letting and achievement of performance targets.
Conduct welcome visits to new tenants, providing guidance, support, and signposting to relevant services.
Identify and respond to customer vulnerabilities and safeguarding concerns through assessments and interventions.
Collaborate with the Lettings Service to assess housing applications and support sustainable tenancies.
Engage with community groups and residents to identify and act on local priorities.
Provide low-level support and make timely referrals to internal and external support services.
Work with partners and residents to maintain and improve the local environment.
Organise and support community clean-up initiatives and estate inspections.
Develop strong local knowledge and contribute to multi-agency meetings and community safety initiatives.
