Summary
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and organised Reception Year Teacher to join a supportive early years team on a short-term basis. This is a fixed-term position for one term, ideal for a passionate teacher looking to make a positive impact in a nurturing and creative EYFS setting. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Reception Year Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Support pupils’ development across all areas of learning, including communication, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional growth.
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
Assess and monitor progress using observations and formative assessments.
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Ideal Reception Year Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching in Early Years or Reception.
A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early child development.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Reception Year Teacher.
Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team.
