A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

As an EPRR Officer at MFT, you will work closely with Clinical Groups, leading key areas, providing expert advice, and supporting business continuity. Your role is essential in fostering a culture of resilience across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include leading and supporting Clinical Groups in developing robust business continuity plans, delivering workshops and training, and overseeing exercising and testing programmes. You will ensure compliance with the NHSE EPRR Framework and Core Standards, maintain expertise in CBRN preparedness, and contribute to related workstreams. The role also requires operating effectively under pressure, producing high-level reports, and engaging with Strategic and Tactical Coordinating Groups. A strong understanding of JESIP principles is necessary for collaboration with leadership and operational staff. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training, exercises, and debriefs, producing situational reports, and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining accountability and resilience. The role involves working across multiple locations, strengthening partnerships within the EPRR framework.

This role demands a proactive approach, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to enhance organisational resilience. Under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (CCA), the Trust is classified as a Category 1 responder with key emergency response duties. The Trust must ensure robust Emergency Preparedness, Resilience, and Response (EPRR) plans, covering business continuity, critical incidents, and major incidents, while meeting NHS England EPRR Core Standards.

The EPRR Officer supports the EPRR Manager in producing Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), ensuring they are regularly reviewed and tested to comply with ISO 22301 standards. The role includes assisting in the annual self-assessment against EPRR Core Standards, gathering evidence, and developing action plans to address areas of non-compliance. The postholder will work directly with Clinical Groups to ensure governance and delivery through EPRR Forums, which play a crucial role in strengthening resilience, building capability, and promoting EPRR within the Trust.
