About the Role
We are looking for resilient, caring, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and experienced team. This long-term role offers the opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting small classes (810 pupils) in accessing the curriculum
Leading or assisting with 1:1 and small group interventions (e.g. phonics)
Providing emotional and behavioural support to pupils
Promoting a calm and engaging classroom environment
Helping students achieve personal and academic goals
Encouraging participation in all aspects of school life
Who We're Looking For
Ideal candidates will be:
Patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD
Confident communicators and collaborative team players
Adaptable, proactive, and calm under pressure
Committed to inclusion and personalised learning
Desirable Skills & Experience:
GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English & Maths
NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or similar)
Experience in an SEN, SLD or SEMH setting
Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
